Slug caterpillar alert!! Looks like the stinging rose caterpillar, Parasa indetermina. They come in different colors!

I love how they use background music in animal documentaries to signify danger.

The orange forked organ the caterpillar stuck out is a defensive structure called an osmeterium. The cat recoiled because–as I’ve found out firsthand–the osmeterium produces a shockingly pungent stench.
Found this while trolling around 4chan.
Dug a little deeper and found out that it is a college animation project called Deathigner from the National Taiwan University of Arts. Department of Multimedia and Animation Arts.
Fantastic animation, great story line, and don’t forget that amazing music and sound design.
